While technology has improved out lives in many different ways, too much time plugged into video-games, the Internet and T.V. is not good for children. Indeed, a Kaiser Family Foundation study found that the average American child spends 44 hours per week (more than 6 hours a day!) staring at some kind of electronic screen.

Executive Director Rebecca Garland talks in this video about the need for more outdoor time in American families' lives, and gives you one easy way to help change the status quo.

You can make a difference! Sign this petition to our new Surgeon General, asking her to promote the benefits of daily outdoor play for children and families.
